Can You Get Fuller Breasts From Herbal Breast Enlargement Supplements?

There have, in very recent years, been a flood of breast enhancement and breast enlargement supplements put on the market. All of them make the same claims of being an effective and safe alternative to breast augmentation surgery. For many women, small or unattractively shaped and sized breasts are a major source of genuine insecurity and emotional distress. As trivial as this may sound to some, a women's perception of her breasts can have a real impact on her self esteem.

With the increasing popularity and prevalence of cosmetic surgery, and especially breast implant surgery, we see increasing numbers of women who seem paradoxically blessed with size 2 waists, and buxom bosoms. It's easy to say you should be happy with what you were born with, but the fact is you can't change how you feel about certain things, and if your breasts are a source of negative body image or low self esteem, you've probably looked into ways to change your bustline, maybe even considered cosmetic surgery to achieve your desired results.

If you've done your homework, you've probably noticed there are now several breast enhancement supplements on the market. These products really can be effective when used correctly and over a period of several months, as long as the product chosen is of a concentrated potency and high quality. We are going to examine the common ingredients found in all of these natural breast augmentation supplements and what their effects have been when used in traditional herbal and naturopathic medicine. Most of the common herbs and compounds discussed here started to gain attention with the publication of The Green Pharmacy in which Dr. James Duke discussed their hormone-balancing properties.

One of the primary ingredients is Saw Palmetto, prescribed by naturopathic doctors as a means to increase breast size, a hormonal regulator, sexual stimulation, urinary tract infections, and weight regulation. Second, we find Damiana, traditionally used for treating depression, anxiety and nervousness. It has been widely held to promote a sense of well being and is a traditional herbal prescription for hormone imbalances, poor mammary gland (breast tissue) development, decreased sex drive, menopause, infertility and PMS.

Dong Quai is another herb found in these supplements which is primarily used to treat an array of female problems related to hormonal imbalances and lack of estrogen production. Blessed Thistle, another common ingredient, has an extensive history of use as a restorative herb that supports the female reproductive organs. Also, because it is considered to be an excellent heart tonic and blood purifier, it allows the others herbs to absorb and work more effectively.

Wild Yam is the most widely used herbal remedy for female health. Wild Yam contains diosgenin, a producer of progesterone (a female hormone), which makes it popular for treating PMS. It is widely used as a female breast enhancer and a sexual stimulant. Fenugreek, a product of American folk medicine, was considered a very effective menstruation promoter. Modern scientists have confirmed that Fenugreek contains the chemicals diosgenin and isoflavones, very similar to the female sex hormone estrogen. It's properties mimic the effect of estrogen in the female body. This herb provides a mastogenic effect resulting in the swelling and growth of healthy breast tissue.

Fennel Seed is another compound commonly used. It's estrogen-mimicking properties are second only to Fenugreek. In addition, Fennel works as an appetite suppressant and stabilizes the nervous system. It also helps move waste out of the body. Lastly, there are Hops and Avena Sativa (Wild Oats). Hops are commonly used to treat anxiety and other stress related symptoms. Hops has a relaxing effect on the uterus, hence it's utilization as a menstrual cramping treatment. Avena Sativa, or Wild Oats, is another common remedy for stress and anxiety. It is also used as a aphrodisiac and anti-addiction treatment.

There you have it. Those are the primary ingredients you will find in most herbal breast enlargement pills on the market today. The key to finding the best supplements is to know which companies use the purest grade of these herbs, allowing for maximum potency and optimal bodily absorption. The higher the potency and quality of each ingredient, the better your results will be with these products so choose wisely. For more information on this subject and for where to find the highest quality suppliers and the most effective products see http://www.natural-breast-guide.com .

Don't base your choice solely on price or name, as you could be cutting yourself short on attaining the best results. Look for products that show before and after photos and give mutliple testimonials. Also, you should only go with a product that offers a money back guarantee.

You should know that taking these supplements can yield some additional benefits after a few weeks. Reported side effects in clinical trials, testimonials and commentary, have shown the following:

* Elevated mood

* Fuller lips (from increased levels of estrogen while on product)

* Clearer skin (some women report brief breakouts at the start, but then unusually clear skin afterwards)

* Diminished PMS symptoms

* Increased regularity and decreased severity of menstrual cycles

These side effects actually make sense when you look at the hormone balancing properties of most of the herbs and compounds that make up these concoctions. So, if you're thinking about trying one of these products, go ahead. Most of the better ones come with a satisfaction and money back guarantee, so there's really nothing to lose. Just make sure you stick to the recommended dosage for AT LEAST 3 MONTHS if not more. You must allow your body time to adapt to, absorb, and respond to the compounds in the treatment in order for it to have any type of effect on your breast size. Another word of advice - if you're looking for double D cups and you have A cups currently, don't waste your money or time on a breast pill as you will only be let down. This type of growth is extremely rare and you will be disappointed. But, if you're looking for a more modest increase in bust size, like 1/2 to 2 cup sizes, increased firmness, volume and contour, go for it! There really is nothing to lose.

Herbal Weight Loss Supplements

More and more people are finding themselves overweight. Most of these people wish they could find some way to lose their extra weight. To fill the growing demand, many health food stores now carry a wide range of herbal weight loss supplements.

The most well known weight loss supplements are stimulants such as ephedra, St. John's Wort, guarana and senna. These herbal weight loss supplements speed up the bodys metabolism so that it burns more calories. However, most of these supplements are effective for short-term use only.

Ephedras negative side effects

Ephedra has gained recent notoriety for its negative side effects. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned against its use and banned some drugs that have it.

Ephedra used to be one of the most popular herbal weight loss supplements. Ephedra is a key ingredient in ephedrine, an amphetamine-like stimulant. Ephedra is known by allergy sufferers as the premier decongestant in the form of pseudoephedrine.

Ephedras value among the herbal weight loss supplements is that it can both suppress appetite and speed up metabolism. In the process of taking it, ephedra can cause high blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, insomnia, tremors, seizures, heart attack and stroke. The FDA has logged more than 1,000 chronic reactions and 38 deaths associated with the use of ephedra in the last five years.

Doctor consultation highly recommended

This has led the FDA to recommend that consumers consult with a physician before taking any herbal weight loss supplements. This is particularly true if you are considering an herbal weight loss supplement containing ephedra.

It is not surprising then to note that herbal weight loss supplements are not generally recommended among those in the medical community. Like ephedra, other herbal weight loss supplements that qualify as stimulants also draw a wary eye from the medical community because of many recorded side effects. Once again, the bottom line is to consult with your doctor before beginning any herbal weight loss supplements.

Pregnancy Tip: Herbs Commonly Used In Pregnancy Labor And Postpartum

Shepherd's Purse

Shepherd's Purse is an annual, weed, that grows to about 20 i

inches in height and is easily recognized by the heart-shaped pods that form near the top. It grows in sunny areas throughout the United States.

The entire plant is used medicinally mainly as a anti-hemmorrhagic by coagulating the blood and constricting the veins. Historically, the juice of the plant was put on a ball of cotton and used to plug the nose and stop a bad nosebleed. It was also used to increase urine and menstrual flow and increase vitamin C in the diet. For maternity use, it is most often used in a tincture from fresh plants which not only stops bleeding but also causes uterine contractions. If an infusion is wanted, one need only steep the chopped plant material for about an hour as it give up the medicinal properties readily in water.

To provide prophylactic treatment of vitamin K to a

newborn: give 3 drops of tincture or extract to the newborn by mouth.

CAUTIONS

If planning to make your own tincture, pick the plant immediately before tincturing as it loses its medicinal properties quickly once it dries

Care should be taken if used for postpartum hemmorrhage as Shepherd's Purse can cause large clots fto form which can prevent the uterus from clamping down and contracting leading to continued bleeding.

Herbert Gintis: The Flip Side of Altruism

Economist Herbert Gintis studies why people do the things they do using game theory and mathematical models. An emeritus professor at the University of Massachusetts, Gintis has also taught at the Santa Fe Institute and Barnard College. The author of Game Theory Evolving and co-author of the forthcoming title, The Cooperative Species: Human Sociality and its Evolution, Gintis believes that most people are predisposed to cooperate and be altruistic, and they arent even aware of it. Altruistic tendencies have a nastier flip side as well, but thats all part of what makes society work, according to Gintis.

How did you get interested in studying altruism?

I studied all of the behavioral sciences biology, psychology, sociology, political science, economics, and anthropology and I thought that it was crazy that these fields could have completely different theories of how people behave. Not only different, theyre contradictory. Were part of the Network of the Nature and Evolution Process. About 18 people work for it economists, biologists, anthropologists, psychologists. We use the experimental game theory to see what people want to do, what their preferences are.

What have you found about human beings and their preferences?

Economists have a model of choice thats called the rational actor model. It generally assumes that people are selfish. In fact, thats a very important part of it. And one of the things we wanted to do is test whether or not that is the case. We found out that it is not the case. Its a rather very interesting phenomenon: People tend to be predisposed to cooperate with others at a cost to themselves as long as others will also cooperate. And people are willing to punish others when they do not cooperate.

The reason humans are so successful is normally attributed to the fact that theyre smart. The reason theyre smart is because humans operate in complex groups. The reason they can operate in complex groups is that they have strong reciprocity: Not only do they share, but theyre willing to punish non-sharers. If you look at the whole range of social species, you find that punishing is very important.

Take bees. You always think of the hive as the big social collective, everybody does what theyre supposed to do. But thats not true. Workers often try to lay eggs, even though only the queen is supposed to lay eggs. If workers lay eggs, there are other workers that run around, eat the eggs, then punish the workers that laid the eggs. Wherever you find cooperation, youll also find punishment. Think of your own body. Each cell has its own self-interest to multiply. Why dont they go berserk? How do you get cells to cooperate? The answer is, you punish cells that dont cooperate. As far as we know, there is no other vertebrate species that punishes. Humans are by far the most social vertebrate species and we argue that thats why humans are so cooperative.

How do you define altruism? In your work, you speak of reciprocity. What is that?

An act is altruistic if it benefits another at a cost to yourself, where there is no possible mechanism whereby you could gain even in the long run somehow: Long term benefit to someone else with a long term cost to yourself. We call that altruism. By the way, it could be a long-term benefit to a group at a long-term cost to yourself. We want a definition of altruism that isnt subjective and also extends to animals. There is altruism in animals. It almost always depends on kin groups that is, youre nice to your kids, which is a biological objective.

There are really two types of reciprocity. Generally, before the work we did, reciprocity meant I help you if you help me. And that, of course, is not altruism. What we study strong reciprocity is a predisposition to cooperate, even when its costly, and a predisposition to punish violators, free riders.

The problem with the term altruism is that there are many forms of altruism. For instance, unconditional altruism is where I help others no matter what. I just help. Thats altruism, but its not strong reciprocity. Mostly people think altruism is goody-goody or warm and fuzzy. But, the biggest part of making society work is needing to retaliate, wanting to hurt people who hurt you. Its much more important than the precondition to cooperate, because if you dont have punishment, you cant get cooperation. Strong reciprocity can be cooperation and conditional punishment.

So, we believe the heart of altruism is not only the willingness to cooperate and help empathy and caring for others but also this negative side of human nature: retaliation or retribution.

Let me give you an example that you would not even think is altruistic normally, but is: road rage.

What exactly do you mean by road rage and how is that altruistic?

Pathologically, its when somebody behaves badly on the road and you shoot them. Usually, though, when people drive through a yellow light or are in a wrong lane, people honk their horns, shake their fists at them. Our argument is that this behavior of getting angry at another driver, who youre never going to see again, has strong reciprocity. It helps keep people honest.

If you dont drive the proper way, some guy honks his horn and you feel humiliated; youve done a bad thing and you got caught. But he didnt do it because he cared about keeping people honest. He honked his horn because he was pissed at you. This is true in subjective altruism. By honking your horn or yelling at someone for doing a bad thing, this is an altruistic act. It might have cost you something, not much. But it keeps the rules of the road going. It keeps people honest, so its an altruistic act.

Youre upholding the norm of fairness by hurting someone who was unfair. But you didnt do it because you wanted to uphold a norm for the group. You did it because you were angry at the guy.

What about when people do something spontaneous and show genuine feelings of empathy?

Our argument is that everybody is altruistic. But for most people if the cost gets sufficiently high, they stop being altruistic.

We argue that everyday life has little bits of altruism all over the place. Theyre generally not that costly, but theyre extremely important. For instance, when I go on an airplane, everyone is nice to each other; theyre never going to see each other again. Why be polite? You can imagine if you put chimps on an airplane, it would be a total disaster. Why go through these little amenities: Can I help you with your bag? Let me move for you. Let me get up so you can get out and go to the bathroom. Think about it. If you put a bunch of sociopaths on an airplane, it would be a disaster. But these little amenities, in everyday life, we tend to help each other even if it doesnt cost that much. This makes society work.

It may be that you really care about the other guy, and very often thats the case. Human beings notion of empathy is very strong. And thats what altruism is. Its wanting to help people at a cost to yourself but also punish people at a cost to yourself when theyre behaving in an anti-social manner. And then the question is, how can human beings be this way? No other species is like this. And thats where the biology comes in. You have to show that groups in which you have a strong reciprocator, an altruist, will do better than groups that dont have altruism.

Is that how game theory fits in?

The main thing game theory does is provide a methodology for experiments. After that, youve got all the biology, genetics, sociology. But game theory pervades everything we do. Theres a whole theory on that called behavioral game theory.

Tell us about your recent findings on how altruism is transmitted.

Were basically very hard-nosed mathematical behaviorists. We take the economic model of the rational actor and we put it through the hoops.

Sociologists have a concept called socialization, which means the internalization of norms, which is completely opposite from every other behavior. Theres no such thing in biology or economics or political science or anthropology.

It seems to me that the principle of socialization was one of the established behavioral universal principles in academic sociology. What we propose is that human beings have this capacity to be programmed. Humans are the only ones where humans can want things just because they were socialized to want them want to be fair, want to share, want to help your group, want to be patriotic, want to be honest, want to be trustworthy, want to be cheerful when they are costly to our selves. If youre honest as a principle, thats good for everybody else and it costs you. So being honest is part of strong reciprocity.

Where does this come from?

Within a complex society, the general approach to this is gene-culture co-evolution. In biology, you get genetic information. In sociology or anthropology, you get cultural information. But really, in human society, they go together. Genetic evolution leads to culture. In that culture, given strong reciprocity, you can be rewarded for being nice or for cooperating. So cultural evolution can lead to genetic evolution. Human beings become nicer and more reciprocal and more honest. So, you get this whole dialectic back-and-forth between cultural evolution and genetic evolution and the product is human beings.

As a result, you get this very complex society, where if individuals dont learn to share or learn to be honest, the system punishes them. People who are programmable, then, are more fit than people who are not programmable.

So in that context of programmability, socialization the internalization of norms becomes the interest of fitness. If you brush your teeth because your parents told you to or you turned the other cheek, because in the long run that pays off, then you are more fit than your neighbors who are sociopaths.

The interesting thing is, once you get people who are programmable, you can program them to do a lot of things, even things that arent in their interest. You can program people to be honest, even when its in their self-interest sometimes not to be honest. A lot of people wont be honest. By programmability, you can get people to be more altruistic than they would ever be if they were self-interested. Now we have all these suicide bombers. Thats completely obvious. You get these people who are programmable and you can program them to be willing to commit suicide. You could never do that to an animal, not willingly. Our argument is that this is one more kind of collective social mechanism that allows us to cooperate.

People dont like to see others suffer. After 9/11, you saw in NYC, the whole city rise up, people helping each other. Its just a spontaneous empathy. Empathy itself is the result of gene-culture coevolution, because, again, people are empathetic; They help in the short run because they feel like it; they feel good helping. But in the long run it helps them because people help back or some phenomenon allows empathy to be fitness enhancing. I think thats more important than what they were taught by their parents. But some of that can come in too.

Herb Grinders

Herb grinders, as the name suggests, help in grinding herbs. The herbs may be anything like flowers, leaves, roots, barks, or anything having medicinal properties. They are also used to grind tobacco, marijuana and other plant-based drugs. Herb grinders may be made out of wood, aluminum, polycarbonate steel, and plastic. Herb grinders may be operated manually, by means of batteries, or by electric current. Twisting is the operation done in all types. They grind the herbs, extract the essence of the herbs, and segregate the residue. The speed of the operation and the duration of the operation may be controlled according to your choice.

Herb grinders use special blades that are able to cut hard substances. Herb grinders must be cleaned properly after using. The herbs tend to change their qualities after a period of time. They tend to become toxic. They tend to interact with other substances used after them. So these grinders must not have any leftover particles. Some models may be washed with soap and water. Some grinders cannot be washed using water. There are special solutions available for this purpose.

Herb grinders are available in various sizes, colors, and price ranges. The prices vary according to the features offered by the manufacturers. Some grinders have built-in cleaning systems. Some grinders have separate chambers to collect the pollens after the grinding process is done. Some models of grinders have the capacity to grind the pollens also, and in this case, the amount of wastage left is reduced considerably. Carrying pouches are sold exclusively for herb grinders. They are available in different colors and sizes. One may purchase these pouches according to the size of his grinder. The usage of pouches reduces the external damage caused to the grinders. Herb grinders may be carried in these pouches during travel.

These grinders are usually very cheap and affordable. They vary from around $20 to over $60. Cost goes up with the features and even the high-end ones are available at a cheaper price if you hunt for them.

Herbs for Kidney

Kidney is the filter that retains the valuable molecules in blood and excretes the waste products.

As man eats plants and animals, they leave some traces in his body in the form of insoluble stones. These stones ( urate, oxalate ,phosphate..) may be accompanied by inflammation, and is the cause of burning sensation upon urination.

Herbs generously affords many reliving remedies. These remedies are either natural herbs well acquainted by man, or culinary herbs and fruits.
These herbs act by inducing some changes in the internal environment of the urinary system, beginning by the kidney itself.

They act by improving the kidney blood flow, thus stimulating kidney productivity with a resultant urine excretion, increasing the protective colloids in the urine and this prevents further stone formation and inflammation, changing the pH of the urine to unfavourable environment for bacterial growth, and/or by dilating ureters so that moderately sized stones can pass through them and excreted with urine to bring the whole problem to an end.

The list involves so many herbs. Kidney herbal remedies are taken orally (household decoctions or juices), or they are formulated into pharmaceutical forms. Nothing is taken through other routes.

Kidney herbs as juices:

*Cranberry juice has good effect. Cranberry is formulated into capsules to acidify urine thus reducing bacterial growth and inflammation.

*Orange juice: It is excellent diuretic. The best high fluid intake recommended by physicians in these cases. I personally consume a lot.

*Lemon and apple juices are also good source of fluid intake.

Kidney herbs as decoctions:

*Corn silk(tassels in the husk of zea maize) has potent diuretic properties.

*Barley: one of the best known traditional therapies.

*Buchu, Juniper berries, Uva Ursi, Burduk, yellow Dock are all known old herb remedies for kidney.

Kidney herbs from Egypt:

*Egyptian desert weed Cymbpogen Proximus or Halfa Bar.

*Ammi Visnaga seeds.

The decoctions of both herbs are used successfully for long years. There are pharmacopoeial pharmaceutical preparations of both in Egypt. They are sold OTC.

Kidney recipes from Egypt:

*(Nigella sativa + Honey) paste, to be eaten 3 times daily.

*(Curcuma powder + Honey) paste, to be eaten 3 times daily.

*Concentrated Grapes juice( by boiling)+ Barley decoction.

*Thyme decoction+ Celery decoction.

Any of these remedies should be accompanied with high fluid intake.
